Alum LUIS G.HERNANDEZ ’03 was a panelist in Art and Activism, part of Founding for the Arts Month at SDAI (The San Diego Art Institute), October 19. 

GFA Assistant Chair’s ANNETTA KAPON’S Proxy Gallery will host a one-person exhibition “This Space Available” by GUY BENNETT from November 1 to December 15, 2015.

Grad REGINE RODE took part in the group exhibition "Idle Upgrade Illusion” at Easy!Upstream in Munich, Germany from September 10 until October 31, 2015.

Alum KRISTY BALTEZORE ’15 showed her work in Olly Olly Oxen Free II, an outdoor group sculpture exhibition at Offramp Gallery curated by Kristi Engle from September 13 - October 11, 2015

Alum LORENZO HURTADO-SEGOVIA '07 will show his work in the group exhibition Fiberlicious at Lamag (Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery) curated by Scott Canty and Carol Shaw-Sutton from October 25, 2015 to January 3, 2016.

Alum JAMIE GRACE DAVIS ’15 has a one-person exhibition “Residual Objects-I still Miss You Every Day” at Space Studios at Dartington UK, from October 16-20, 2015.

Alum KARMA HENRY ’10 exhibited her work in the Coyote III group exhibition at the Maidu Museum and Historic Site in Roseville, CA from September 19 to November 14, 2015.

Grad REGINE RODE took part in the Art Graduate Theme Exhibition: Fragment at the UCLA Wight Galllery, Sept 24 - Oct 8 2015.

A one -person exhibition “Long Exposure” by grad NATHAN GULICK occupied the PROXY GALLERY during the month of October, 2015.

Alum WENDY GIVEN ’02 will participate in the group exhibition Stilleven at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, from SEPTEMBER 12 – DECEMBER 20, 2015

GFA faculty KORI NEWKIRK is participating in Hard Edged: Geometrical Abstaction and Beyond at the California African American Museum from August 13 2015 to April 24, 2016. 

Alum SERGIO BROMBERG’S ’10 6114 Venice Gallery showed Nicholas Kersulis from September 12 - October 24, 2015.

Alum WAKANA KIMURA ’11 took part in R.S.V.P. LOS ANGELES: The Project Series at Pomona College Museum of Art from September 1 - December 19, 2015. She had a book publishing party at the Pomona College Museum of Art on October 29th 2015.   If you haven’t seen my piece at the Museum, this would be a fun night to enjoy the exhibition. All the artists make a one night piece for the special night, and I will make an interactive installation space for the event. KIMURA also had an opening on November 1st, at the LA ARTCORE in downtown Little Tokyo.

Grad ELIF ERKAN is exhibiting her work in The Social Register at Park View Gallery from 19 September – 7 November 2015. She also showed in Standards of Living at Maison des Arts in Brussels, Belgium, in the context of Europalia, from November 14 to December 19, 2015. Curators: Anne-Cécile Maréchal, Véronique Baccarini.
