Alum AMANDA KATZ ’15 gave a reading at The Little House Gallery in Venice in response to their current exhibition of TAMARIND ROSSETTI’S  work, “ Guest House for Travelers,” Wednesday September 30, 2015.

Alum CALVIN PHELPS ‘03 has founded the Pike School of Art and Artist Residency program in Mississippi. 

Alum JENNIFER WOLF ’10 has a solo show at William Turner Gallery from November 21, 2015.

Alum ALEX KROLL ’08 has a one person exhibition Q and A: New Paintings by Alexander Kroll at 308@156 Project Art space in New York from October 6 to 30, 2015. Curated by Quang Bao of Second Guest Projects.

Alum KRISTY BALTEZORE ’15 showed her work  in Olly Olly Oxen Free II, an outdoor group sculpture exhibition at Offramp Gallery curated by Kristi Engle from September 13 - October 11, 2015

Alums CHRIS OATEY ’06 and LORENZO HURADO SEGOVIA ’07 are among 15 artists with strong ties to LA, who use paper as their primary medium and who are included in Paperworks at the Craft and Folk Art Museum (CAFAM), September 27, 2015 through Jan 3, 2015.

Alum LORENZO HURTADO-SEGOVIA '07 will show his work in the group exhibition Fiberlicious at Lamag (Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery) curated by Scott Canty and Carol Shaw-Sutton from October 25, 2015 to January 3, 2016.

Alum ZEAL HARRIS ’07 exhibited her work in exhibits at Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum with opening events beginning on Thursday, September 10th in Mesa, Arizona. Harris will also be a participant in this year’s fourth Ghetto Biennale in Port Au Prince, Haiti in December 2015.

Alums ZEAL HARRIS ‘07 and LILI BERNARD ‘14  are exhibiting in “Colored Girls”.  This group exhibit will open as a 2-day pop-up gallery at Autonomie Projects in Los Angeles on Friday, September 11 and Saturday September 12 from 12:00pm – 6:00pm. 

Alum SHIVA ALIABADI ’14 has work included in An Odyssey - 10th Anniversary Celebration, a Torrance Art Museum fundraiser featuring artists who have shown at the museum. Saturday, Sept. 12th, 6-10pm. Other September and October exhibitions include:  Splitting Light, Sept. 24th at University at Buffalo, Art Galleries, Amherst, New York,  Of Silence, curated by Tilt/Export Oct. 3-December 20th, 2015 at Outpost Projects, Yucca Valley, CA, Uncanny, a show Aliabadi curated with artists from both Los Angeles and Europe October 17th-November 6th, 2015 at MuzeuMM Gallery at West Adams Blvd, Los Angeles.

Grad REGINE RODE contributed her interpretation of Critique in "Judgement Day," an article about Grad Art Schools in Artillery, October 2015.

Alum JOAN LAUGHLIN ’07 showed her work in a one-person exhibition The Forest and the Trees at the Jung Center in Houston TX from September 3-29, 2015.

French graduate student ANNE DERIVIERE arrived from H.E.A.R in Strasbourg on September 11 for a three-month residency at Grad Fine Arts. 

Alum EDITH BEAUCAGE’S ’10 CB1 exhibition Chill Bivouac Rhymes was reviewed by John David O’Brien in Artillery, October 2015.

Alum JAMIE GRACE DAVIS ’15 has a one-person exhibition “Residual Objects-I still Miss You Every Day” at Space Studios at Dartington UK, from October 16-20, 2015.

Alum KARMA HENRY ’10 exhibited her work in the Coyote III group exhibition at the Maidu Museum and Historic Site in Roseville, CA from September 19 to November 14, 2015.

GPP alum RAUL BALTAZAR ’15 won the 2015 Emerging Artist award from California Community Foundation.

Grads TODD B. RICHMOND, REGINE RODE and alums ANDREW CURREY ’15 and KRISTIN DUCHARME '03 were selected to participate in the 2015 Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery (LAMAG) Juried Exhibition Jul 26 – Sept. 20, 2015.

Alum JEFFREY VALLANCE ‘81 had a one person show "The Medium is the Message” at CB1 Gallery from July 25 to September 5, 2015.

Grad REGINE RODE took part in the Art Graduate Theme Exhibition: Fragment at the UCLA Wight Galllery, Sept 24 - Oct 8 2015.

GFA Assistant Chair ANNETTA KAPON had her videos shown at the Flussi Media Art Festival “Realityvism” in Italy (August 26 to 30, 2015) and at Laceno d’Oro Cinema Festival in Italy in September 2015.

Alum EDITH BEAUCAGE ‘10 participated in LAWA (Los Angeles World Airports) LAX Art Program "On the Cusp” curated by John David Obrien March to September 2015 (Terminal 7 and 8)

GFA Assistant Chair ANNETTA KAPON and alums MICHELLE ANDRADE ‘07, STEVEN BANKHEAD '01, ED GOMEZ ‘03, JOHN WESTON '07, ERIC SARBACH '13, ROB FAUCETTE ’05 and BRANDY WOLFE ‘12  took part in Peak Experiences, ShangriLa 2015, at ShangriLa in Joshua Tree, produced by alum DREW DUNLAP '06 and curated by Short House founded by alum MICHELLE CHONG '06 from September 4 to 7, 2015.

GFA Assistant Chair ANNETTA KAPON’S Proxy Gallery showed a one-person exhibition of new paintings by LARI PITTMAN from September 1 to 30, 2015. The exhibition was reviewed in the LATimes by Carolina Miranda on September 22, 2015.

An exhibition by grad NATHAN GULICK will occupy the PROXY GALLERY during the month of October, 2015.

Alum WENDY GIVEN ’02 will participate in the group exhibition Stilleven at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, from SEPTEMBER 12 – DECEMBER 20, 2015

Alum CARLA DANES '03 showed her work in FM ART with HEART at Industry Gallery, Pacific Design Center, Los Angeles from August 1 to September 11, 2015.

Grad DELIA PEREZ SALINAS will have a solo exhibition “Pasatiempos” at Selecto Planta Baja in Los Angeles from September 25 to October 12, 2015.

GFA faculty KORI NEWKIRK is participating in Hard Edged: Geometrical Abstaction and Beyond at the California African American Museum from August 13 2015 to April 24, 2016. 

Alum CHRISTINA HENDERSHAW ’12 is taking part in the group exhibition XX at Subliminal Projects in Echo Park from August 27 – September 26, 2015

Alum SERGIO BROMBERG’S ’10 6114 Venice Gallery will be showing Nicholas Kersulis from September 12 - October 24, 2015.

Alum KATY COWAN ‘13 is part of a four-person exhibition, Try again. Fail again. Fail better: at Cherry and Martin Gallery from August 22nd to September 19th, 2015

GFA faculty BENJAMIN WEISSMAN curated and participated in Black and White Mike (tribute to artist Mike Kelley) at Center for the Arts in Eaglerock from August 29, to September 24, 2015.

Alum WAKANA KIMURA ’11 will take part in R.S.V.P. LOS ANGELES: The Project Series at Pomona College Museum of Art from September 1 - December 19, 2015.

Alum MATTHEW CARTER ’10 has a one-person exhibition  GROTESQUE at Luis de Jesus Gallery from September 12 - October 17, 2015

Alum ANA RODRIGUEZ ’09 showed her work in the two person exhibition VISCOSITY  at Launch LA from September 12 to October 3, 2015.

Grad ELIF ERKAN is exhibiting her work in The Social Register at Park View Gallery from 19 September – 7 November 2015.
