GFA faculty ANNETTA KAPON’S Proxy-Paris Gallery (@galerie Ygrec, Paris, France) is hosting a one-person exhibition by SUSAN SILTON from October 15 to November 15, 2016.

Alum ZAC ROACH ’16 is in a group exhibition “Number Six” at MiM gallery from October 8 to 29, 2016

For the month of October 2016 GFA faculty ANNETTA KAPON’S Proxy Gallery is hosting the exhibition “DOODLE BOX” by JODY ZELLEN.

Alum ANA RODRIGUEZ ’09 with Nano Rubio showed her work at Launch LA from October 8 to November 12, 2016.

Alum ALLISON PECK ’14 is in INTER/MISSION with artist Rives Wiley, in partnership with Portland Pataphysical Society /S/PLI/T. The exhibition will run from Oct 6- Nov 3, 2016 at Portland Pataphysical Society.

Alum SHIVA ALIABADI ’14 is in a show at the Gamble House in Pasadena, CA called On the Verge of an Image: Considering Marjorie Keller, curated by Alika Cooper and Anna Mayer via LAND (Los Angeles Nomadic Division) from Oct. 7th through December 12th, 2016

Alum ELIF ERKAN ’16 is included in the exhibition Capital (debt territory utopia) at Museum fur Gegenwart Berlin, Germany, from July 2 to November 6, 2016.

Alum KATY COWAN ’14 is in the Group Exhibition at 2732, Cherry and Martin Gallery Los Angeles, CA August 13 - October 29, 2016. COWAN also is part in the Wisconsin Triennial at Madison Museum of Contemporary Art from September 24 2016 to January 8, 2017 in Madison, WI. Other recent exhibitions include PDF-Objects Group Exhibition at Mana Contemporary Chicago, IL from June 18 - October 1, 2016.

ALUM LORENZO HURTADO SEGOVIA ’07 was in the group exhibition Thread at El Camino College Art Gallery from August 29 to September 22, 2016

Alum MATTHEW CARTER’S ’10 work was included in Expo Chicago Art Fair from September 22-25, 2016.

Alum SRIJON CHOWDHURY ’13 has a solo exhibition Since The Garden September 10 - October 15, 2016 at Klowden Mann in Los Angeles.

Alum ALEXANDER KROLL ’08 has work included in the group exhibition All Together Now: New Paintings by Tom Anholt, Markus Bacher and Alexander Kroll at 1969 Gallery from September 16 to October 20, 2016.

ALUM ALUM LORENZO HURTADO SEGOVIA ’07 is in a group exhibition “Material Cultures” at BRIC House in Brooklyn NY from September 8 to October 23, 2016. HURTADO SEGOVIA also participated in a Fowler Textile Council Roundtable on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at The Anawalt Center for the Study of Regional Dress, Fowler Museum at UCLA

Alum SWEET SAMSON ’14 was included in a group show ‘Insight’ at the Art Gallery ‘Na Kashirke’ in Moscow, Russia from August 19- September 25 2016.

Alum CHRIS OATEY ’06 was selected for inclusion in the upcoming issue New American Paintings #126 which is being released in October 2016.

Grad NATHAN GULICK had a one-person exhibition, contractor, at mandujano/cell in Los Angeles from August 27 to September 24, 2016

Alum JAMIE GRACE DAVIS ‘14 staged several performances in the context of her “Points of Connection” body of work: 1) The Nickel show Performance: “A Memory”, New York 2) Pop-up installation, Skowhegan, Maine 3) New York Stories / In 5 days, Chance of Rain, Chelsea Gallery, New York and “Performance for No One, New York“

Alum EDITH BEAUCAGE ’10 has her debut solo show “Sequencer-Spectrum-Reverb” at Luis De Jesus Gallery from September 10-October 22, 2016.

Alum ZEAL HARRIS ’07 has been awarded the title of Artist-in-Residence at Camera Obscura Arts Lab (a.k.a. COAL) next to the Santa Monica Pier for three months starting August 2016. For this year’s Blk Grrrl Book Fair, HARRIS made a special edition of prints. HARRIS’S group exhibit "Viral: 25 Years Since Rodney King" opened at Sparc Gallery in Venice, CA and it is now moving to the Betti Ono Gallery in Oakland, CA. The opening was scheduled for mid-September. She participated in “43: From Ayotzinapa to Ferguson," an early summer exhibit at Self-Help Graphics Gallery in Los Angeles. A solo-show featuring a selections from her latest series of artworks will open on October 15th and will run until November 18th at Gallery 825 in Los Angeles. ZEAL HARRIS is also included in a group exhibit of selections from the permanent collection of the California African-American Museum on view until September 18th.

Alum BRYAN RICCI ‘12 had a new solo exhibition, Chromophilia, at TWFINEΑΡΤ in Brisbane, Australia from August 5 – September 5, 2016.

Alum COLEEN STERRITT ’79 was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for 2016.

Alum WENDY GIVEN ’02 will show her works in a group show, "The Garden of Unearthly Delights", curated by Jerry Cullum at Whitespace Gallery in Atlanta, GA opening August 5th-September 10, 2016.
