Alum SABINE DEHNEL ’03 took part in Aught Frauen as part of the Long Night in the Museum Quarter on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Galerie 2106 in Ravensburg, Germany. She was also part of Preview, a group exhibition with the artists of the gallery Robert Drees in Hannover, Germany, on Friday August 31, 2018.

The Meshki collective (ALEX KAY ‘18 and SHIRIN BOLOURCHI ’17 ) as part of Maiden L.A. showed their work at Patches and Pins Convention in Orange County, CA, on August 18, 2018.

The group exhibition Art about Fucking was a one-night exhibition on Saturday, August 25 in conjunction with Maiden LA 2018 organized by Juicy Vesicles and included alums MICHELLE ANDRADE ‘07, ADAM MARS 07, TUCKER NEEL ‘07, MICHELLE OHM ‘08, ANA RODRIGUEZ ‘09, and JOHN WESTON ‘07. At 341 Marie Ave, Los Angeles, CA, 90042.

Alum RACHEL WOLFE ’15 is featured under “Member Spotlight” in the August 2018 issue of LHSA (International Leica Society)

Grad SABREE KATHY WOODWARD participated in VITRINE, an outdoor pop-up art exhibition at 3240 Larimer St. Denver, CO on Saturday August 25th, 2018

Alum ROB FAUCETTE ‘05 has a new song, LOST IN THE FLOWERS, in the collection Every Love Story is a Ghost Story available online.

Alum SRIJON CHOWDHURY’S ‘13 Chicken Coop Contemporary in Portland OR is showing the group exhibition Putting Itself Together from August 5 to September 8, 2018. Curated by Jenni Crain and Lydia Glenn-Murray

Alum KRISTIN MOORE ‘16 had an interview published in Voyage Houston Magazine/Houston City Guide on August 1, 2018.

MFA FA Assistant Chair ANNETTA KAPON and faculty RENEE PETROPOULOS will be in the group exhibition HERE at LAMAG (Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery) from October 15 to January 6, 2018.

MFA FA Faculty RENEE PETROPOULOS was part of the group exhibition It’s Time at Orange County Center or Contemporary Art from July 7 to August 11, juried and curated by MFA FA faculty ANURADHA VIKRAM. Petropoulos also took part in a panel discussion about the exhibition on August 4, 2018

Alum RANDI GANULIN received a commission for Heaven and Earth X, to be installed at Seattle’s Carkeek Park August 20th through October 22nd. She will take part in the exhibition Center Forward at the Center for Fine Art Photography, Ft. Collins, CO. GANULIN was invited to participate in Constellations: A Survey of Contemporary Photography through September 9th at the Kaaterskill Arts Foundation in Hunter, NY.

MFA Assistant Chair ANNETTA KAPON’S Proxy Gallery is showing “1232 Levin Ave. Mtn View, CA 94040” by TOM KNECHTEL from September 1 to September 30, 2018.

Alum KARMA HENRY ’10 is a member of the Great Basin Native Artists (GBNA). An article on the group appears in First American Art Magazine. GBNA recently had a show up at Metro Gallery in City Hall, Reno, Nevada. It ran from April 2- May 18, 2018.

Alum WENDY GIVEN ’02 has a new solo exhibition You, Darkness, opening at Vernissage Fine Art in Portland, OR, from August 7 to October 30, 2018. A conversation with the artist will take place on Tuesday, September 18, 2018

Alums KARIM SHUQUEM ’18 (Cambiaformas) and NATHAN GULICK ’18 (A Model of Itself) had an exhibition in Mexico City culminating their residency at FUNDACION SEBASTIAN from July 1 to 27, 2018. SHUQUEM will continue the exhibition in Los Angeles on August 3rd with Maiden LA at 1756 Adams Blvd, in Los Angeles.

Alums REGINA HEROD ‘13 and DAVID DEL FRANCIA ’14 were in the exhibition Vibrant Matter: Refiguring Form on Saturday August 4, at Beacon Arts Building in Inglewood.

MFA FA-A+SP faculty KADE TWIST (part of POSTCOMMODITY) will show his work in Pittsburgh’s 57th Carnegie International, from Oct. 13 through March 25, 2019, at the Carnegie Museum of Art.

MFA FA faculty BENJAMIN WEISSMAN showed his work in Remote Castration at LAXART from July 29 - September 15, 2018.

Alum SHIVA ALIABADI ’14 was awarded a Salon 2018 Fellowship from Peripheral Vision Press. This is a publication fellowship and winners' profiles will be in their next publication as well as their website in coming months:

Grad CHLOE JEONGMYO KIM and alum ZEAL HARRIS ’07 participated in the LAMAG 2018 Juried Exhibition from July 26 to September 16, 2018.

Grad AMEERA DAAOOD had a solo exhibition INDIGO at InArt Education (4950 Wilshire Blvd Los Angeles CA 90010) from August 7th – August 11th.

Alum RACHEL WOLFE ’15 received an honorable mention in the ND Photo Awards, Conceptual Fine Art category. WOLFE also has 3 upcoming exhibitions in Oslo Norway on September 20 with two installation works, and October 12-13.

Alum SHIVA ALIABADI ‘14 has interviewed a new artist from New York for her blog Pulse Stream. The interview is called: "Glitter Guns, Cold Hard Cash, and Libtards: Natalie Baxter’s Plush Nerve" published June 27, 2018.

Alum MARTA CHAFFEE ’79 has a solo exhibition The Places we’ve Lived at the Armory in Pasadena from July 1 to September 23, 2018. Organized by Aandrea Stang.

Alum LORENZO BAKER ’18 showed his work at Residency Art Gallery in Inglewood in The New Contemporaries, from June 16th through August 25th, 2018,

Alum JANET DANDRIDGE ‘16 will be travelling back to Paris in October 2018 as an officially recognized Institut Francais 2018 Artist Laureate, to complete the project collective finds of inanimacy.

Alum RAUL BALTAZAR ’13 will be in Regeneración: Three Generations of Revolutionary Ideology exhibition at Vincent Price Art Museum, from September 29, 2018. BALTAZAR is taking part in Sisyphus, Version 20.18, group exhibition, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts from May 19, 2018 to August 19, 2018.

Alum KRISTIN MOORE ’16 has a collection of oil paintings in a group exhibition at Aether Space Gallery in Houston, TX June 2 - August 15.

Alum SABINE DEHNEL ’03 is participating in the group exhibition LADIES FIRST at Galerie 2106 Ravensburg, Germany, from August 18 to September 26, 2018. She will also be Artist In Residence for 2018 at Museum Kunst der Westküste, Föhr.

Alum RANDI GANULIN ’96 installed Arterial, at Amazon in downtown Seattle, part of Shunpike's Storefronts project. She also exhibited ten Paired Disaster pieces at Blue Sky Gallery Photography Viewing Drawers in Portland through March 2019.
