Alum AUSTYN DE LUGO ’17 showed his work in [ME] Candy presented by Newtown Pasadena at the Armory Center for the Arts from December 22, 2018 to January 5, 2019.

Grad JEONGMYO CHLOE KIM was selected as ‘Jurors Choice,’ the annual MFA Online Exhibition titled “Regular Style”. This is an online exhibition for graduate students juried by graduate students from the University of Montana and Montana State University.

Alum SRIJON CHOWDHURY’S Chicken Coop Contemporary presented Harry Gould Harvey IV at NADA Miami from December 6 - 9, 2018.

Alum YRNEH BROWN has his work in the permanent collection and in “African Civilization: Continuous Creation of Humanity” at the Museum of Black Civilization in Dakar, Senegal.

MFA FA Faculty RENEE PETROPOULOS is in the group exhibition UNDER THE COBALT BLUE SKY curated by Marietta Bernstorff at MACO, Oaxaca, Mexico, from November 30, 2018.

Alum MARK X FARINA ’18 has completed an outdoor wall mural for the current exhibit Year One, benefitting the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, at Castelli Art Gallery Los Angeles.

Alum RACHEL WOLFE ‘15 was artist in residence at Atelier Nord ANX for a week, producing video, Les Ames Mortes in Oslo, Norway. WOLFE also wrote 4 articles for the Department of Illinois Outdoor Wildlife Journal, published online from November through 2019.

Alum COLEEN STERRITT ’79 had a monograph covering 40 years of her work, produced by the Lancaster Museum of Art & History and published by Griffith Moon Publishing. Book signing was on Sunday, Dec. 9th at Artbook @Hauser & Wirth.

Alum JACOB MELCHI’S ’03 :: JACOB'S WEST:: is a pop-up project space now hosting the group exhibition Los Angeles Notebook that opened November 10 and ran through December 8th 2018. It was organized by Jacob Melchi and Spencer Carmona.

Alum RAKSHA PAREKH ’04 and MFA faculty RENEE PETROPOULOS are in the exhibition SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN at Kellogg and Huntley Art Galleries of Cal Poly Pomona from November 6, 2018 to March 17, 2019.

MFA FA-A+SP faculty KADE TWIST (part of POSTCOMMODITY) showed his work in Pittsburgh’s 57th Carnegie International, from Oct. 13 2018 through March 25, 2019, at the Carnegie Museum of Art. Postcommodity was awarded the Fine Prize for the 57th Carnegie International. Grads AMEERA DAAOOD, DEREK PRADO and MARIA LAURA HENDRIX were commissioned by the museum to create an event score in collaboration with three graduate students from San Francisco Art Institute.

Alum JANET DANDRIDGE ‘16 travelled back to Paris in October 2018 as an officially recognized Institut Francais 2018 Artist Laureate, to complete the project collective finds of inanimacy.

Alum RANDI GANULIN ’96 installed “Arterial,” at Amazon in downtown Seattle, part of Shunpike's Storefronts project. She also exhibited ten “Paired Disaster” pieces at Blue Sky Gallery Photography Viewing Drawers in Portland through March 2019.

MFA Assistant Chair ANNETTA KAPON’S Proxy Gallery hosted an installation by Milwaukee artists Shana McCaw and Brent Budsberg’s “Remnant” from December 1, 2018 to January 31, 2019.
