Alum PATRICK HILL (‘2000) had a recent show at College of Creative Studies (Detroit) He also started a project called SOUTHFIELD, a gallery and imprint. He showed in Bahamas Biennale in Detroit from November 18 2018 to January 20, 2019.Hill also received a Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant in 2018.

MFA Interim Chair ANNETTA KAPON’S Proxy Gallery hosted a collaborative installation Diamond Dave in the Rough is a Girl’s Best Friend for Ever by alums MICHELE ANDRADE ‘07 and JOHN WESTON ’07 from March 1 to March 31, 2019.

Alum ANDREW K. CURREY ’14 has 3 pieces in the 33rd annual group show LALUZAPALOOZA from March 1 to 31, 2019 at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles.

Alum KATY COWAN ’14 will have a two-person exhibition The Day in the Night at Philip Martin Gallery in Los Angeles from March 2 - April 20, 2019. Cowan is also showing her work at The Armory Show / Katy Cowan with Philip Martin Gallery March 7 - March 10, 2019.

Alum JASON MCKECHNIE ’92 organized a group exhibition for Nuit Blanche at Christ Church Cathedral in Montreal, Canada, on March 2, 2019.

Grad JAMES ENRIQUEZ had his MFA Thesis exhibition “IS THIS ART???”at the Bolsky Gallery from March 3, 2019.

Alums MARCELA GOTTARDO ’14 and SHIVA ALIABADI ’14 participated in the group exhibition Fresh 2019 curated by Steven Wong at SoLA Gallery from March 23 to March 30, 2019.

Alum KARMA HENRY ’10 will be at the Heard Museum's Indian Market in Phoenix, Arizona on March 2 and 3, 2019. She will have some of her works from her Sonoran Arts Residency.

Alum WAKANA KIMURA ’11 will exhibit her work Daily Practice at the Maui Art and Culture Center from February 16 - June 14 2019 with a lecture by Kimura on Sunday, February 17th.

MFA FA-A+SP faculty KADE TWIST (part of POSTCOMMODITY) showed his work in Pittsburgh’s 57th Carnegie International, from Oct. 13 2018 through March 25, 2019, at the Carnegie Museum of Art. Postcommodity was awarded the Fine Prize for the 57th Carnegie International. Grads AMEERA DAAOOD, DEREK PRADO and MARIA LAURA HENDRIX were commissioned by the museum to create an event score in collaboration with three graduate students from San Francisco Art Institute.

Alum RANDI GANULIN ’96 installed “Arterial,” at Amazon in downtown Seattle, part of Shunpike's Storefronts project. She also exhibited ten “Paired Disaster” pieces at Blue Sky Gallery Photography Viewing Drawers in Portland through March 2019.
