Alum SHIVA ALIABADI ’14 as well as grads XIOUPING WHITWORTH and DEREK PRADO will be in the QiPOFAIR 2020 in Mexico City, Mexico from Feb. 6-9, 2020. 

ALIABADI ’14 will have several of her drawings will be in The Farm & Distillery booth out of Lentzke, Germany. 

Alum ALEX KROLL ’08 has a one-person exhibition "imagism' at Johannes Vogt Gallery in New York City from January 31 to February 29, 2020.

Grads ALLY WALLACE and MIGUEL HERNANDEZ earned fellowships for workshops at  Anderson Ranch in Colorado for Summer 2020. 

Grads JUSTIN NUNNALLY (“Pocket Universes”) and CASSIA REYNOLDS-DAVIS (“As Needed”) had their MFA exhibition in the Bolsky Gallery from January 17 to 22, 2020. 

Alum YRNEH GABON ’17 has been invited to participate in the Dakar Biennale in Senegal May 28 to June 28, 2020.

GLAMFA 2020 “Double Play” included grads DEREK PRADO, CLAIRE SUN and ALLY WALLACE at CSULB January 22-29, 2020.

Grad DEREK PRADO was selected for the Toronto International Charette February 18th to  February 25th 2020.

Alums MICHELLE CHONG ’06 and MATT LIFSON ’12 participated in a two-day show at LSH CoLab in Los Angeles January 18 and 19, 2020.

The Otis MFA Fine Arts Mid-Residency Exhibition "The Evidence of Things" was curated by MFA faculty CLETUS DALGLISH-SCHOMMER in the MFA Studio Building in Culver City from January 23-/31, 2020. Featured artists: SHARON BARNES, DELANEY ENGLE, WEI GAO, TIN KEI KEI, NIKKI LUNA PAZ, JULIA SOLAZZO, MAGGIE WANG, XIOUPING.

Grad AMEERA DAAOOD had her MFA exhibition in the Bolsky Gallery from January 12 to January 16, 2020.

Grad MARIA LAURA HENDRIX had her MFA exhibition Hasta la Raiz/To the Roots in the Bolsky Gallery from January 26 to January 30, 2020.

Alum KRISTIN MOORE ’16 is on the Saatchi Art list of 20 Artists to Watch in 2020:  MOORE will also be in The Other Art Fair in Los Angeles in April 2020. 

Alum ALEX KROLL ’08 showed his work in the group exhibition The Vista at Durden and Ray LA from February 8 to March 3, 2020. 

Alum TAMI DEMAREE ’03 has a one-person show Pictures of the Floating World at Odd Ark LA January 11-February 23, 2020.

Alum MATT LIFSON ’12 is in the group exhibition Heaven and Hell at the Tom of Finland Foundation in Los Angeles from January 18 to February 14, 2020.

MFA FA Interim Chair ANNETTA KAPON’s Proxy Gallery is hosting an exhibition “hyperspace 15” by LETITIA QUESENBERRY, February 1 to February 29, 2020.

Alum KARMA HENRY ’10 showed with Indigenous Voices of the Great Basin at depARTures Gallery in the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, Reno, NV. Runs thru January 2020. She also showed her work in PATTERN: a group Contemporary Native Artist show @ Rainmaker Gallery, Bristol, UK. through January 31, 2020. 

MFA FA Interim Chair ANNETTA KAPON has a one-person exhibition Virtue of Necessity at the Coachella Valley Arts Center in Indio, CA from  January 11-February 16, 2020.

MFA FA faculty KADE TWIST with Postcommodity has an exhibition Some Reach While Others Clap at LAXART from Jan 5 to February 29, 2020.

Alum LAWRENCE GIPE ’86 was part of “Intersections” curated by Arezoo Bharthania, Gul Cagin, Alanna Marcelletti at Durden and Ray open for 4 Saturdays starting January 4, 2020.

MFA FA Faculty BENJAMIN WEISSMAN showed his work in “Friends and Family” curated by Keith Mayerson at P. Mendenhall Gallery in Pasadena CA from November 23 to January 4, 2020.

Alum SHIVA ALIABADI ’14 will be attending Banff's Artist-in-Residence Late Winter residency in February and March of 2020. Foundwork Art featured her work on their gallery platform; it was curated and chosen by Sharon Louden.

Alum SABINE DEHNEL ’03 took part in the group exhibition“invited by//part two” at Galerie Robert Drees •  Hannover from November 23 2019 to January 18, 2020.

Alum JOE SOLA ’99 will show in: In Production: Art and the Studio System Yuz Museum, Shanghai Nov. 7 2019 – March 1, 2020 SOLA also has a Solo Exhibition at Honor Fraser Gallery January 11 - March 7, 2020

MFA Faculty KADE TWIST with the art collective Postcommodity is showing The Point of Final Collapse, a new sound installation at San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) from November 15, 2019 until the Millennium Tower is fixed or torn down.
