Beverly Hills Salvatore Ferragamo Store Supports Otis College of Art and Design

A special event with designer Daniela Villegas and faculty Joan Takayama-Ogawa; Proceeds from 4/26-5/1 to benefit Otis College of Art and Design

A special event with designer Daniela Villegas and Otis faculty Joan Takayama-Ogawa was held on Tuesday 4/26 to kick off a new collaboration with Salvatore Ferragamo. Takayama-Ogawa, a renowned artist and celebrated educator, spoke to Villegas about her new nature and travel inspired capsule collection for Ferragamo.

Several members of the 2016 Scholarship Benefit Committee were in attendance, as well as Founding Chair and philanthropist Elaine Goldsmith. Villegas discussed her design process and inspiration, and actress Demi Moore was on hand to test-drive the new collection.

The event launched a special promotion at the Ferragamo Beverly Hills location; if you shop from 4/26 - 5/1 proceeds will benefit Otis College of Art and Design. This is a precursor to Otis' Annual Scholarship and Benefit Show, held on May 7th. This celebrated event raises money for scholarships and provides students with professional experience. With over 75% of students in need of vital financial aid, many of Otis’ promising young artists and designers would be unable to complete their education without this support.
