Craft In America Celebrates Teachers in the Arts

CRAFT IN AMERICA: TEACHERS, Artists committed to sharing their skills and passion for craft with new generations

Craft in America, is the site partner for the Creative Action class 'Made in LA'. The class has previously partnered the Otis Veteran’s Association, in conjunction with Craft in America's episode SERVICE, to present an evening honoring America’s servicemen and women

The latest episode 'Teachers' premieres tonight and features Navajo weavers Barbara Teller Ornelas and Lynda Teller Pete at Idyllwild Arts, glass artist Mark Mitsuda at Punahou School, glass artist Therman Statom, and ceramic artist Linda Sikora at Alfred University. All episodes, bonus videos, artist information, object galleries, and learning materials for teachers available at www.craftinamerica.org.

The Craft in America series has been awarded a Peabody and 2 Emmy nominations.
