The 36th Annual Scholarship Benefit and Fashion Show is set to take place this Saturday, May 5 at the newly-extended Elaine and Bram Goldsmith Campus at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. The highly anticipated event is produced in collaboration with J. Ben Bourgeois Productions, known for creating upscale events.

It'll feature over 125 designs of year-long, industry mentored work from upperclassmen fashion students. Among this year’s mentorship program are fashion, entertainment, luxury and lifestyle industry leaders and representatives from Bally Americas, NBCUniversal, Ironhead Studios, Poesia, Alo Yoga, Prairie Underground and Marvel Cinematic Universe. During the fashion show, each mentor will choose a winner based on the best design of the group they have worked with.

This year specifically, students had the privilege of working closely alongside Marisol Bradford of Universal to create designs inspired by the Jurassic World franchise. Their inspiration draws from the DNA of dinosaurs to create a never-before-seen sportswear collection that reference recycling and rejuvenation. The overall theme of this year’s fashion show is Celestial Bodies. Students are challenged to focus on recycling old materials for new, adaptive uses.
