Programs 

Summer Residencies and Programs at Otis College offer artists and designers the opportunity to explore and create work in the unique and culturally diverse arts community of Los Angeles. 

Timeline

October 1, 2017 - Applications open

January 15, 2018 - Priority deadline for fellowships

January 31, 2018 - Regular deadline for programs

Late February 2018 - Decision letters are sent via email

March 20, 2018 - Deposits due

May 1, 2018 - Full payments due 

Labs and Shops

Otis College offers access to advanced production studios, including Painting Studios, Photography Lab, Lighting Studio & Green Screen, Video Lab, Laboratory Press, Wood, Model and Metal Shops, Printmaking Lab, Sculpture Studio, Ceramics Studio, and more. Housing

Each participant will be assigned a single, private, simply furnished room with a common space and shared bathroom. Participants have access to laundry on every floor. There are also unique lounges on each floor, including a kitchen, study lounge, studio space, and media lounge. There is a limited number of private rooms (with no shared common space) for an additional fee. Private rooms are assigned on a first come, first serve basis. 

Meals

Our Dining Commons will serve three communal meals on weekdays, and brunch and dinner on weekends. Fresh fruit, snacks, smoothies, and beverages are available at our Cafe from 7am – 7pm.  Meals are cooked from scratch using fresh, authentic ingredients including local and seasonal products. The Commons also accommodates various dietary restrictions. Otis College is surrounded by local restaurants and cafés where you can also grab a meal.
