Student Health and Wellness Center Hours
Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm and closed for lunch every day 1pm-2pm
How to send a student to the Student Health and Wellness Center
Students themselves have to seek out medical or counseling care; faculty and staff cannot make appointments for students.
- If a faculty or staff member feels that a student needs emergency medical or psychiatric attention, call 911
- If a faculty or staff member feels that a student needs non-emergency medical or counseling services, please encourage them to go in person to the Student Health and Wellness Center or call us at (310) 846-5738 to make an appointment
- If a faculty or staff member walks a student down to the Student Health and Wellness Center for counseling services, please share your concerns with the front office staff. Without your input, it could be hard for the counselor to ascertain why the student has been referred since the student may not know or is reluctant to share
- If a faculty or staff member walks a student down for a medical incident or injury, please leave your name, your department, and the class where the incident or injury occurred with the front office staff
Reminder: If there is an illness or injury that occurs on campus and you have either responded to or witnessed the incident, please be sure to complete the on-campus illness/injury incident report here.
After Hours Instructions
Please notify College security at (310) 665-6965 that a student is in distress and needs help.
Please note that that once a student has become a patient of the Student Health and Wellness Center, no information can be released without their written permission. This means that the physician, counselor or any of the staff of the Student Health and Wellness Center, is not permitted to follow up with you about students.
