Alumnus Kris Paulson

Kris Paulson ('03) and a four-person team of young designers at Big Monster Toys in Chicago stormed the toy design world during the 2005 holiday season with their wildly popular animatronic MP3 player named 'iZ'. Time magazine listed the iZ as one of 2005's top inventions. The alien eyes of iZ echo with the music's rhythms, and its horn pulses in rainbow colors.

Alumna Meleina Mayhew

Since graduating from Otis in 2000, Melaina Mayhew (’00, Toy Design) has worked with many of the leaders in the toy industry, including Mattel, Lego, Applause, and Equity Marketing. She also worked on an array of character licenses such as Hello Kitty, Sesame Street, Scooby-Doo, Finding Nemo and other Disney properties.

Alumni Brothers Ben and Dennis Go

Having come to the U.S. from Manila, Philippines, Ben ('00) and Dennis ('01) Go studied together in the Digital Media Department at Otis before joining Brand New School (BNS). Ten years later, Ben is the Creative Director in the Santa Monica office, and his brother Dennis is Creative Director in the New York office.

Having grown up on an island in the Seattle area, Blaine “Fontana” Hogg (’02, Communication Arts) made his way through Otis and received top honors with the “Best in Show” award.

After his years at Otis Robert Dobbie ’01 (a.k.a. Rob Dob or Bob Dob) has built up a distinctly sardonic portfolio of work that has come to fruition in his new book, BOBDOB: Painting Collection Volume One, published by Murphy Design.
