Geeta Mehta, Otis College’s 2019-2020 Donghia Designer-in-Residency, on the Social Purpose of Architecture and Urban Design

Geeta Mehta, who is an adjunct professor of architecture and urban design at Columbia University, also is an author, social entrepreneur, and urban designer. She answered several questions before her March 11 lecture at MOCA and master class at Otis College as part of two components of the Architecture/Landscape/Interiors Department’s 2019-2020 Donghia Designer-in-Residency

Kunlé Adeyemi Announced as 2018-2019 Donghia Designer-in-Residence

The Architecture / Landscape / Interiors Department at Otis College of Art and Design is pleased to announce the selection of architect, designer, and urban researcher, Kunlé Adeyemi as the 2018-2019 Donghia Designer-in-Residence. Adeyemi will present a public lecture on March 13, 2019, at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and direct a one-week Master Class at Otis College of Art and Design between March 14 and 19, 2019.

James Shen Returns to Los Angeles as Otis College’s 2018 Donghia Designer-in-Residence

Creative endeavors can start locally to change the world. That’s one of the messages students can take with them from James Shen, Otis College’s 2018 Donghia Designer-in-Residence. Shen was born and raised in Los Angeles, but his vision for culturally-connective design has taken him to Beijing, China, where he runs People’s Architecture Office.

Acclaimed International Architect Bernard Khoury to Present at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA - Architect and designer Bernard Khoury, Founder of DW5 in Beruit, Lebanon will present the eight annual Donghia Designer-in-Residency lecture on March 16, 2016, at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. The Donghia Designer-in-Residency is hosted by the Architecture/Landscape/Interiors Department at Otis College of Art and Design and consists of a one-week master class culminating with a public lecture at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. 
 

Award-Winning Architecture Firm studio mk27 to Present at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA - March 18, 2015 - The internationally renowned architecture firm studio mk27 will present the seventh annual Donghia Designer-in-Residency lecture on March 25, 2015 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. The Donghia Designer-in-Residency is hosted by the Architecture/Landscape/Interiors Department at Otis College of Art and Design, and consists of a one-week Master Class on Otis’ Westchester campus between March 20 and 25, culminating with a public lecture at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.
