BFA Fine Arts Visiting Artist Lecture Series: Senyawa

Jogjakarta’s Senyawa embodies the aural elements of traditional Indonesian music while exploring the framework of experimental music practice, pushing the boundaries of both traditions. Their music strikes a perfect balance between their avant-garde influences and cultural heritage to create truly contemporary Indonesian new music.

MFA Fine Arts Lecture Series: Jill Mulleady

Los Angeles-based painter Jill Mulleady was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Later she moved to Paris, where she studied theatre with Ariane Mnouchkine at the École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq. Turning her attention to painting, Mulleady attended the Chelsea College of Arts in London, graduating with an MFA in 2009. She focuses on creating realistic figurative works that vary in content—mystical, realistic, mythical, and historical, from fantastical surrealism to scenes of everyday life.
