  1. Complete the Mobility Application, and submit to the Center for International Education
  2. After receiving a copy of your Letter of Acceptance from your host university, you can apply for a student visa (if applicable). Contact your host university to find out what documentation is required in order to apply for your student visa. See here for visa
  3. Submit a copy of your Letter of Acceptance from your host university to the Center for International Education.
  4. Complete and submit your Otis Course Approval Form (Undergraduates Only)
  5. Course Registration and Credit Transfer: the Registration Office website offers helpful information for students going on exchange.
  6. Obtain your passport.  Make sure your current passport is valid. The expiry date must be at least 6 months beyond your expected date of return. See the Travel Study Resource Guide for details.
  7. Submit a copy of your passport to the Center for International Education
  8. Prior to departure, complete and submit the following forms to the Center for International Education: Liability Waiver, Medical Self-Assessment, and Travel Arrangement Form
  9. For International Exchange prior to departure, obtain Health and Travel Insurance. For additional information please contact: https://www.otis.edu/health-insurance
  10. Provide a copy of your insurance card to the Center for International Education.
  11. Register with the U.S. Embassy once you have procured your in-country address at https://step.state.gov/step/
  12. Submit: Forms may be submitted via email to international@otis.edu (put the program destination and your name in the subject line), faxed to (424) 207-2503, or in person to the Center for International Education, Ahmanson Hall 215. 
  13. Attend the PRE-DEPARTURE ORIENTATION.  Please note that your attendance is MANDATORY
