The Digital Media Department invites all Otis College students, staff, and faculty to attend this special screening of the 19th Annual The Animation Show of Shows, which includes 16 new and innovative, animated short films! After the screening, attendees have the opportunity to engage in a Q+A panel with select featured filmmakers! 

Please RSVP via Eventbrite to attend. Limit one RSVP per person. Ticketing and seating is one a first-come, first-served basis. Films have not been rated and contain mature themes and images some may find disturbing.

The Show features 16 internationally acclaimed animated short films from Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the U.S.! Watch The Burden by Niki Lindroth von Bahr, an extraordinary stop-motion musical that received the grand-prize Cristal Award at the 2017 Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Celebrate local with Los Angeles-based director David OReilly's Everything, a visually stunning short inspired by renowned British-American philosopher Alan Watts. Grants from ASIFA Hollywood and The National Film Preservation Foundation allowed The Show to restore the 1964 classic Hangman by Paul Julian and Les Goldman. The Show is proud to include the 2018 Academy Award Winner for Best Animated Short Film, Dear Basketball, directed and animated by Glen Keane with script and narration by Kobe Bryant.

The Animation Show of Shows is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created for the expressed purpose of expanding awareness of exemplary animated short films and animated short film restoration and preservation. Donations are tax deductible.
