Extension FAQs
Students can register and pay online by visiting the Courses section of the Extension Catalog. Course costs are listed with each course description. Students must be registered in a course before the start of the second class session. Students not enrolled by the start of the second class session may not attend class.
You may take care of most registration business (enroll, add, drop, transfer or change credit status) through the Student Portal.
Early enrollment is advised.

If you are a returning students and/or family, please be aware that Otis College Extension recently launched a new student portal system. In order to register for a youth program, you must create a new student profile. If registering multiple students, you must assign a unique email address to each student.
All All K-12 and Pre-College students are required to complete and return a K-12 and Precollege Mandatory Forms Packet prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this. Please complete that form here: https://otiscollege.formstack.com/forms/k12_mandatory_forms_online
All online courses run with the teaching method of synchronous, asynchronous, or a combination of the two. Refer to the section notes for how to find this information for your class. If you do not receive a classroom or Zoom invitation or have problems connecting, please contact extension@otis.edu or (310) 665-6850.

- Webcam (either built-in or attached you your device): Live sessions only
- High speed internet access (Wi-Fi or 4G/5G)
- Zoom app (system requirements): Live sessions only
- Additional set up requirements may be detailed on the webpage for your class.
Synchronous: Taught through an online learning environment, allowing for the instructor and students to meet during scheduled times. Includes lectures, demos and discussions via Zoom.
Plan to have all materials list for the first day of class unless the list specifies which items are needed for the first class.
