Carlos Avila (he/him) is an LA-based Mexican-American creative director and educator specializing in brand development, typography, and user experience through emerging technologies. Previously, Carlos co-founded 1646 Ideation Studio, working with various clients in the financial, home goods, and beauty industries. Currently, Carlos splits his time serving as creative director and product designer at scent studio J.Pera, creative director of Serious Business Gallery, a bilingual virtual art space accessible via smartphone, and co-founder at Proyectos Tyrone, a conduit for BIPOC-centric projects and objects that promote artisans/designers/humans from marginalized LA regions.
