External Programs
Creative Trades Lab
Creative Trades Lab is a paid, three-week summer program at Otis College of Art and Design for high school students eager to learn through hands-on building.
Students gain experience in woodworking, metal fabrication, and design thinking while working with Otis instructors and industry mentors. The program centers on a collaborative, real-world project in which students design and construct outdoor furniture for the TGR Learning Lab Los Angeles.

From one-day workshops to 10-week courses to 10 distinct certificate programs, Otis Extension has a program that will help you grow in your profession, gain insights into a new field or technique, and access practitioners at the top of their disciplines.
Pre-College and Youth Programs
Otis College offers engaging programs for emerging artists and designers of all ages. As Otis College’s premier pre-college program, Summer of Art allows high school students to preview college life, earn college credit through advanced level coursework, and develop their portfolios. Youth offerings include weekend and after-school classes and Summer Youth Camps, which encourage younger creator to build artistic skills and express themselves through a variety of mediums.

Summer of Art at Otis College is an immersive pre-college program for high school students looking to develop their creativity, build their portfolios, and experience college-level art and design coursework.
Netflix x Otis Entertainment Certificate Program
Access: Netflix x Otis Entertainment Certificate Program at Otis College of Art and Design targets underrepresented students of color, offering a full-tuition scholarship for 18 talented individuals. The 20-month program, combining coursework with mentorship and apprenticeships, prepares participants for diverse careers in entertainment marketing with valuable skills and a robust professional network.
Snap Lens Lab @ Otis College
Join the Snap Lens Lab @ Otis College of Art and Design this summer for a two-week pre-college program. Open to Los Angeles County high school students, the lab offers 15 scholarships for underrepresented populations, covering full program participation.Aimed at providing access and insight into career opportunities, the program is inclusive, requiring no prior experience or skills.
