Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Events
Over the past several years, Otis College has expanded its events inclusive of heritage month programing and annual DEI events, highlighting important contributions of various artists, designers, and activists across multiple dimensions of identities. We are committed to providing learning experiences for the entire campus community in order to build upon their own DEI knowledge. Included below are annual events that happen on campus with the intention to grow this list of events even more,
APIDA Heritage and Pride Month
April celebrates LGBTQIA+ Pride Month and Asian Pacific Islander and Desi American (APIDA) Heritage Month, during which we honor the legacy, histories, and cultural pride for our APIDA and LGBTQIA+ communities.
September 15-October 15 marks the recognition of Latinx Heritage Month, honoring the history and contributions of Latinx people within the U.S. including celebrating histories and cultural identities rooted in Latin America.
Join us for a celebration of Black History Month as we honor, recognize, affirm, and acknowledge the history that has created space for Black creatives to thrive.
MLK Day of Service is committed to students, staff, and faculty getting involved in a variety of ways within the surrounding community and educating themselves further on the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Join us for a celebration of Women's* Herstory Month, beginning March 1st, as we recognize the phenomenal contributions womyn have made nationally and internationally.
