Summer of Art and Summer Youth Camps encourage creative exploration and help emerging creators imagine a future in art and design Taught by practicing professional artists who are also skilled educators, our programs are designed for artists of all skill levels.
Otis College Extension offers summer programs that will advance your teen or child's abilities in art and design. Topics include painting, animation, fashion, game design, drawing, portfolio preparation for college applications, and many others. Our courses will support them across all stages of their creative journey.

Summer of Art
Courses run weekly from July 7–August 1, 2025 with classes held on campus from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.This program is ideal for experienced, young artists interested in expanding their skills , as well as students with more informal art training. Summer of Art 2025 will take place in-person at Otis College’s main campus in Los Angeles, CA. Credit and non-credit options are available. Receive $100 off each class when you register before April 25, 2025!

An Immersive Experience
As a Summer of Art student, you can live on campus, just moments away from your classes. Students live in our Residence Hall—offering a sneak preview of the college experience.
Expansive Curriculum
Students earn college credit while immersing themselves in a broad mix of art courses. In the full five-day program, they explore the foundational elements of drawing while diving deep into a specialized course in topics ranging from fashion design and digital media to painting and ceramics.
Scholarships Available
Passionate students belong at Otis. This is why we offer merit- and need-based scholarships for prospective Summer of Art students that may cover up to the full cost of tuition for the 5-day program. Scholarships are based on financial need, student portfolio, personal statement, and academic achievement.
Summer Youth Camps
Camps run weekly between June 16–August 8, 2025 with classes held on-campus from 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.Children’s camps introduce the elements and principles of art and design while encouraging personal expression and exploration. Our camps are designed specifically for young artists and provide an in-depth exploration of art materials and techniques, while further examining creative ideas through experimentation and collaboration. Register before April 1, 2025 to receive a $50 discount on all full day camp registrations.
Creative Exploration
Summer Youth Camps at Otis College of Art and Design provide fun and meaningful opportunities for young artists to discover a variety of mediums including drawing, painting, and sculpture, as well as subjects such as animation, cartooning, graphic design, and more.

Summer Youth Camps provide a custom experience with thoughtful programming that is developed specifically for different age groups and geared toward their level of experience.
