Bio and Affiliation

Kat Ispache is a graphic designer whose practice centers on publication design, visual identity, and typography. She holds an MFA in Graphic Design from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and a BFA in Graphic Design and Art History from the University of California, Davis.

Working across print and digital media, her work explores how design can communicate movement, narrative, and systems of knowledge. Influenced by research, conceptual art, and material experimentation, she approaches each project with an emphasis on thoughtful storytelling, visual clarity, and collaboration.

Her practice spans cultural institutions, artists, independent organizations, and creative businesses, developing identities, publications, exhibition graphics, and digital experiences. She approaches every project through conversation, curiosity, and close collaboration, creating work that is both strategically grounded and visually engaging.
