Kathrin Burmester, born in Flensburg, Germany, now lives and works in Los Angeles. She has exhibited in the United States and abroad since 2000. She received her BFA in Film and Video from School of Visual Arts, New York in 2004 and her MFA from Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles in 2007. She is an Assistant Professor in MFA Fine Arts at Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles. Kathrin has exhibited at Highways Performance Space, MiM Gallery, Los Angeles; Jancar Gallery, Los Angeles; MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles; Jim Kempner Fine Art, N.Y.; Lora Schlesinger Gallery, Santa Monica; Seeline Gallery, Santa Monica; LA Freewaves, UCLA Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; and Max Ophuels Film Festival, Saarbruecken, Germany.
