Bio/Affiliation: 

Lance Winkel is a 3D designer and Senior Lecturer at USC's Viterbi School of Engineering, where he oversees the Information Technology Program's 3D Computer Graphics and Modeling minor, and 3D animation, VFX, and 3D design and prototyping courses. He is a passionate advocate for building solid curricula and innovating new approaches to teaching interdisciplinary collaborative design, 3D printing, and product development at all academic levels. When not teaching, he is envisioning ways to remodel his home into the NCSS Nostromo from Alien or contributing to his local design and film communities. Lance is an award-winning animated filmmaker, photographer, practicing artist, and model-maker Such + Such.
