Neil Doshi is a designer living and working in Joshua Tree, California. In exploring the idea of an ‘expanded practice,’ his work asks how graphic design can not only inhabit conventional forms and formats, but can also point beyond to the built environment, alternative modes of production & distribution, and performative actions. He holds an MFA in Graphic Design from CalArts and has teaches in Otis’ Graduate Graphic Design Program. He has been a guest lecturer at the Oslo School of Architecture, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and A-Z West's Institute of Investigative Living. Neil has worked with clients in the cultural and commercial spheres such as Andrea Zittel, Disjecta Contemporary Art Center, and Nike. He is the recipient of a Creative Capital Grant and participated in the 25th Biennial of Graphic Design in Brno, Czech Republic. He is a member of the Varese Group.
