Neil Doshi is a designer living and working in Joshua Tree, California. In exploring the idea of an ‘expanded practice’ – his work asks how graphic design can not only inhabit conventional forms and formats, but can also point to the built environment, modes of production & distribution, and performative actions. He holds an MFA in Graphic Design from CalArts and has taught in Otis’ Graduate Graphic Design Program. He has been a guest lecturer at the Oslo School of Architecture, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and A-Z West's Institute of Investigative Living. Neil has worked with clients in the cultural and commercial spheres such as Andrea Zittel, Disjecta Contemporary Art Center, and Nike. He is the recipient of a Creative Capital Grant and participated in the 25th Biennial of Graphic Design in Brno, Czech Republic.
