International Students

At Otis College of Art and Design, international students make up 26% of our overall student population. As an art school located in Los Angeles, we feel that our diversity defines us and we are dedicated to the belief that engaging with other people and experiencing new cultures and ideas enriches your educational experience. Our international students are important to our community and we strive to ensure that you have a smooth application and enrollment process.

Application Process

You can view information about our application process including specific requirements for international students on our How to Apply page. Our admissions counselors are here to assist you through the process. Feel free to reach out to us at

Enrollment Process

Accepted international students are encouraged to visit us to experience our campus in person. Our You Visit virtual tour is the next best thing and is translated into Spanish, Mandarin and Korean.

A complete list of steps for accepted students to complete is listed on our Admitted Students page. Accepted students who would like to submit the tuition deposit can do so at

I-20 Process

After you pay the $250 tuition deposit, you will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the I-20 Request form and submit your necessary documents online through the Otis portal at

The I-20 Request form is a digital form that you must sign-in to complete. It will request a PDF of the Financial Guarantee form and a color scan of the photo page of your passport.

If you are transferring your I-20 from another institution, you need to complete the SEVIS Transfer Form and the DSO at your current institution needs to sign-off on the form. In addition, we require a copy of your current I-20, F-1 visa and I-94. These forms will all be uploaded through the portal or the I-20 Request form.

Your bank statement or bank letter must be dated within 6 months of the date of receipt by the College.

For the Summer Language Program, there is a specific International Verification Form that must be completed. El Camino College, our partner for the program, will be issuing the I-20.
