Team International Student Outreach

Team International Student Outreach (TISOs) are a select group of Otis College students, international and non-international, undergraduate and graduate, who serve as student leaders. The role of a TISO is multi-faceted. TISOs serve as cross-cultural group leaders during International Student Orientation, and continue to support new international students throughout the academic year. TISOs represent Otis College by developing, and participating in international programming, and hosting international visitors on campus.

I am from India. formerly I was a Computer Science Student but I wanted to do something creative and that's why I am here. I chose to be a student leader because I think it is a great opportunity to get some work experience along side your college education and networking with people. Also being a TISO enables me to help people which genuinely makes my day. My advice: No one ever became rich or successful by "just" doing Homework and School Assignments.

I am a rather goofy person who just really enjoys having a good time with everyone! I chose to be a student leader because it gives me the opportunity to actively build up the social community here at Otis and genuinely make it a good time for everyone to experience together!
I know that everyone understands that you shouldn't procrastinate, should do your work, and try not to fall behind. But among all that, don't forget to give yourself time to relax and unwind as well! Overworking can be just as bad as not working at all. Set aside time for yourself to take a breather, even little ones in between your class work!

I like helping people. Especially since I have struggled with international student matters such as Visas.
My Advice: You don't really have to listen to teachers if they seem wrong to you. But never break rules that will hurt you in any way.
