There are numerous programs and initiatives that the College has engaged with in an effort to move forward our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Signature programs include our Black Creatives Institute, BIPOC Student Summit, and other dynamic events that support our students' co-curricular experiences related to DEI. Our DEI Council continues to lead the college through their work and commitment with a focus on education and engagment, curriculum, and strategic communications. The DEI Progress Report chronicles the comprehensive work the College has engaged in across the entire campus, including student programs, retention initiatives, faculty and staff development, and alumnx support.
DEI Council

The DEI Council formed in early 2020 with representatives from throughout the Otis Community, including students, faculty, staff, and alumnx. The members of the Council share a passionate commitment and a breadth and depth of knowledge related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Bias Incident Response Team

The Bias Incident Response Team (BIRT) addresses incidents of real or perceived bias targeting Otis College students, faculty, and staff. Additionally, BIRT educates the campus community about bias and related institutional policies, protocols, and resources.
