SECTION I: Transferable Foundation (FNDT) Studio Courses
Otis College recommends sophomore transfer students match the Foundation Curriculum as closely as possible. However, we generally accept 17 credits of art or design studio courses. Students must show a portfolio that demonstrates they are able to bypass the Foundation Year. Please note, the admissions portfolio requirement includes at least 5 examples of life drawing from direct observation. SMC courses that are an ideal match to Otis College’s first-year Foundation Program are listed in the chart below.

SECTION II: Transferable Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) Courses
Otis College accepts a total of 21 Liberal Arts and Sciences credits. For sophomore level transfer, 12 Credits of Liberal Arts and Sciences courses may include but are not limited to English Literature and Composition, Art History, Social Science, Natural Science and General Electives. SMC Courses that are an ideal match to Otis College’s first-year are listed in the chart below.
