Vila Lounge Chair Materials: Aluminum, Pine Wood Designed for a floating Swedish sauna, Vila is a lounge chair that reflects the calm, honest spirit of Scandinavian design. Its name, taken from the Swedish word for rest, speaks to its purpose — offering a place to pause, recline, and unwind in harmony with the surrounding landscape. The chair’s base is made from four overlapping pine wood pieces, a quiet reference to traditional Scandinavian woodworking, reinterpreted with a contemporary sensibility. Its folding mechanism is intentionally left visible: large exposed hinges and semi-circular cutouts along the back legs, where a sturdy T-bar rests in various positions to adjust for comfort.
