FOUR. ONE. 41”x41”x27”, 13”x13”x16.5” FOUR. ONE. is a dining set I designed inspired by Vietnamese-American upbringing. The four seats represent my mother, father, grandmother and me. This set is designed to create a cozy seating arrangement inspired by the casual dining sets often found in Vietnamese restaurants and cafes. The stools are low to the ground, mimicking the laid-back nature of these places. A sinuous table top encourages guests to maintain an intimate distance while not being too tight. FOUR. ONE. is a dedication to closeness, nostalgia and the feeling of home. Some images may be cropped. Click on an image to see the full image without cropping.

BFA Product Design
I am a Vietnamese-American designer whose work meets at intersection among art, design,
and education. Inspired by the humans and communities that have shaped my life, I
have an investigative design process that seeks to understand how objects and environments
can enhance the human experience. I believe that design is a medium for storytelling,
therefore my work relies on research, investigation and conceptualization practices
to solve important problems.
