A two part form reminiscent of haunches and buttocks, coated in a waxy surface, atop a flesh-like color palette, facing at each other in a dual like position. It is built on a steel metal armature with thin pole legs that reach to the ground.

iridescent non anatomical hoof like forms (like a unicorn entity) is pierced with a metal rod that is stationed inside of a block of soft white foam, mimicking a pedestal with the subtle illusion of the hoof floating. A steel rod is stationed in between each hoof. On the rod is a row of bone like fragments with braids coming out of them, landing gently on the floor. My little pony imagery is used on the inside of the hoof.

Two wax coated yellow legs jut out of the wall they have stilted metal poles that are clamped onto the wall with pipe fixtures. Above the legs is a fragment of a wall that comes out, with an image of the Virgin Mary digitally edited on top of a doll wrapped in cellophane.

A steel rod comes out of the wall. A series of over saturated wax dipped egg shaped photos are lined on the rod. Hanging from the rod is a long wax coated rope of hair. The hair enters an open pipe clamp.

Danica is an LA based interdisciplinary artist pursuing their BFA. They work primarily in sculpture, investigating their queerness and neurodiversity. They question what one sacrifices to feel adequately human, examining the dissociative experience as both a soul wound and a portal. Danica has shown work in Reisig and Taylor Contemporary Gallery and the Bolsky Gallery. They were awarded the 2025 Distinction In Studio award for SCNG and have received the Otis Presidential Scholarship.
