The action painting pieces were made around the same time as this dance video. They are intricately connected, informing one another. The dance movements helped to make the art by the motion in the dance translating to the strokes with the palette knives.

BFA Fine Arts
Nicky Arrell (B. 1981, Toronto, ON) is receiving a BFA from Otis College of Art and
Design (Los Angeles, CA). Received a B.A from McGill University (Montreal, QC) and
a B. Ed from Lakehead University (Thunderbay, ON). She also holds a 750 hr Yoga Alliance
certification obtained from Ester Myers Yoga Studio (Toronto, ON). Her work is currently
centered in the senior year program private studios at Otis College of Art and Design.
She is showing in a group exhibition at the end of school year
