Nova Mittleman
the inspiration for the project was camoflauge, specifcally a camo jacket I wear almost every day. Through my design process I wanted to focus on the fact camouflage disappears the subject, which can be related to my experience having social anxiety and wanting to disapear in public. I was extremely important to create a chair that was very grounding and comfortable, something you would physically sink into. A comfortable place to lounge, using the shapes of camo to inspire the form.
