Family and Friends Day: Foundation and Foundation Transfer Student Orientation
Family and Friends Day is a full-day experience specifically for students entering college for the first time or coming from another college and starting at Otis College as a Foundation student.
Students and families will gain a basic understanding of the college and the Foundation year. There will be an opportunity for students to meet upper level students who serve as Orientation Week Leaders and speak with various staff and faculty representing different resources at the college. You will also take your student ID picture, visit vendors on campus, and participate in afternoon activities that will ease your transition. Late Registration Day
You're one step closer to being a student at Otis College! If you have not yet participated in an online registration advisement session during the summer 2018, plan to be on campus to register for your fall semester classes. You will also learn more about campus resources, meet new students, and meet one-on-one with a financial aid staff member.

Family and Friends Day: Upper Division Transfer Student, and Exchange Student Orientation
The college recognizes that Transfer and Exchange students have already been to college and are a unique population with specific needs. This orientation day is for those students who have previously attended either a two-year or four-year institution, and have been admitted to Otis College as a transfer or exchange student. You will learn about expectations, opportunities for involvement, and meet your academic department chairs. You will also take your student ID picture, and visit tables represented by campus departments. Otis College will celebrate all newly admitted students to mark the beginning of their Otis College journey. You will be officially acknowledged into the college community with a convocation style welcome ceremony taking place in the commons area on campus. The college president Bruce W. Ferguson will provide welcome remarks and you will meet a number of college faculty and staff. A light breakfast will be provided!
There is no registration required for this event. ALL new students should arrive to the Forum located in the Academic Building (next door to Elaine's Dining) at 9:00am to check-in, get your Commemorative T-shirt, and join the pre-ceremony activities!
Wednesday, August 2211:00AM — 8:30PM
O Beach is a unique program immediately following the Welcome Ceremony and offers the chance to get to know your peers even more. There will be keynote speakers to help you learn about what's ahead for your first-year experience. Also participate at the beach with swimming and games, and then culminate the entire experience with a bon-fire activity in the evening at Dockweiler Beach. By the end of the day we hope you have a clear sense of how your own creative talents and abilities can flourish and grow at Otis College.

Graduate Student Orientation
Graduate Student Orientation will provide all incoming MFA students with information intended to help navigate their academic program. As an incoming graduate student, you will be able to meet other MFA students, participate in a campus tour, and receive advising and registration of your classes. Bowl and Eat at Bowlero Westchester!
Come knock down some pins and hang out with your fellow Otis Owls at the AMF Bowlero Westchester, across the street from Otis College. All bowlers will receive a free bowling shoe rental and a spot on the lane lineup during the games. Pizza and soft drinks will be provided. Don't forget to bring a pair of socks if you plan on bowling! All newly admitted students both graduate and undergraduate are invited and encouraged to attend. Space is limited so register now!

Knott's Berry Farm Day Outing
All newly admitted students are invited to a discounted day out to Knott's Berry Farm. It's another opportunity for you to connect with your new Peers and enjoy a great Southern California day at a major theme park. Space for this activity will be limited to the first 120 new students who sign-up and pay their $25 ticket fee. The normal gate price for admission to the park is $82.00 so take advantage of this discount! All newly admitted students both undergraduate and graduate are invited and encouraged to attend.
