Writing Placement Assessment (WPA)
If you are required to complete the WPA, you must show up at 8:30 AM to register and complete the exam. All incoming new students who are required to complete the WPA would have been notified by Admissions. International Student Orientation
The college is excited to welcome all newly admitted International students! The Orientation program is your first chance to experience all that Otis College has to offer you. You’ll receive valuable information to ease your transition to campus and life in the USA, as well as federal requirements to maintain your student visa status. All newly admitted International students are required to attend. Lunch will be provided!

Graduate Student Orientation
Graduate Student Orientation will provide all incoming MFA students with information intended to help navigate their academic program. As an incoming graduate student, you will be able to meet other MFA students, participate in a campus tour, and receive advising and registration of your classes. All newly admitted MFA Students are required to attend. Lunch will be provided!

All students (new and continuing) are able to move into housing and can begin checking in at 1:00 PM. New students are required to check in at the Student Life Center located on the 1st floor of the Academic Building to pick up their keys. All returning students are welcome to return anytime after 1:00 PM on Jan 9th.

Family and Friends Day/Registration for New Foundation and Transfer Students
Family and Friends Day is a full-day experience specifically for students entering college for the first time or coming from another college and starting at Otis College as a Foundation or Transfer student.
Students and families will gain a basic understanding of the college as well as academic expectations for their program. There will be an opportunity for students to speak with various staff and faculty representing different resources at the college. You will also receive your One Card (student ID), visit vendors on campus, and participate in afternoon activities that will ease your transition. All newly admitted Foundation, Foundation transfer students, and Upper Division Transfer Students are expected to attend. Lunch will be provided!
Following lunch, all incoming students will attend Advising and Registration to register for classes beginning at 2:00PM.
