A Message from the Chair

Welcome to the 2026 Graphic Design Senior Show!

The Graphic Design program at Otis teaches students to convey messages through the thoughtful integration of imagery and typography, encouraging them to develop their unique design voice to express ideas and communicate meaning. This exhibition represents not just the culmination of years of dedicated study, but also marks the beginning of exciting new journeys for our graduates.

The theme of this year's show, Here After* offers a way of reading the exhibition, a constellation of works suspended between arrival and departure, reflection and projection, presence, and possibility. Each artist and designer brings a distinct language and sensibility, yet all share this condition of transition. What emerges is not just a set of outcomes, but a set of trajectories, works that carry forward what has been learned, and what is still unresolved or in motion.

In a fast and unpredictable world, Here After* does not promise certainty. It offers something quieter, that becoming is enough, that openness can be generative, that what is unfinished can still be full. Like a small star, the exhibition flickers between what is visible and what is still distant, asking us to look closely and imagine further.

These stories are not complete.
They are just beginning.
