Plagued by my own overconsumption of blind boxes and the oversaturation of aesthetic-first design on my feed, this poster is a response to the deterioration of meaning (in both material goods and design). Two layers of translucent vellum were hand-woven together to visualize oversaturated content, mimic digital aesthetics, and emulate the tactility of textiles. Some images may be cropped. A collection of book spreads for a co-directed fashion magazine. I had the pleasure of interviewing three of my fellow Otis students about their art practice and interest in fashion. We discussed the amalgamation of their personal experiences, touchpoints with subculture, and their desire to create.
