A chair is meant to fit the body similar to corsetry, emulating the way a corset shapes a woman’s figure and showcasing an exaggeration, with the ties wrapped around, creating a sense of intense body modification. The fleshy tone of the velvet generates a feeling of uncomfortability. Cynched is a beautiful yet painful representation of a woman’s body.

BFA Product Design
As a Senior at Otis College of Art and Design, I specialize in narrative-driven problem
solving. I believe that every design challenge has a story waiting to be told through
its form and function. By deconstructing user needs and translating them into purposeful
shapes and structures, I create products that don't just solve a problem. but also
communicate solutions. I am seeking to join a team where storytelling is the primary
tool for creating a more intuitive and impactful user experience.
