A teenager's messy disorganized bedroom sits at the foot of basement stairs, the walls covered in dim yellow light and more move and band posters than anyone should ever own. Shaggy yellow carpet creeps beneath the un made bed, on top of which clothes and stuffed animals are strewn. A desk in the corner grows stick from discarded soda cans, a drum kit lingers in the corner, and a television set sits besides the bed covered in stickers.

My name is Luci Ramos-Welch, and I am a background artist and illustrator. I'm graduating with my BFA in Digital Media from Otis this semester, and I also have my Associates in Humanities and Liberal Arts which heavily informs my approach to research and my creative/iterative process. My work is heavily inspired by cinema, horror and Gothic media, and an ongoing conversation with my younger self, who watched too much X-Files and wanted more than anything to make movies.
