Mentor Project Garment 1: Custom designed floral placement print on Silk Organza and Silk Georgette using Orange Day Lilies and Flame Lilies. Using my namesake flower, I designed this print with myself in mind and I asked myself where I would go in a dress like this. What would I wear if I was to romanticize my life and have my ideal day? Some images may be cropped. Click on an image to see the full image without cropping.

Mentor Project 2: Lambskin trench coat with removable fur collar paired with a low cut and low waisted silk jumpsuit. Using my tailoring skills, I patterned and constructed this trench coat in a way to challenge myself and test my skills. A long dart starting in the neckline shapes the collar and hours of hand stitching gives this coat its unique structure.

Together in Step lineup page: 4 looks that celebrate American fashion culture and the culture of the people who call America home. I took inspiration from Bad Bunny’s halftime show to create a collection that celebrates the American people and the culture of the peoples who live here. I take inspiration from national costume and blend it with American fashion archetypes.
