Reclaiming the Los Angeles River Through Temporary Spatial Installation. The Los Angeles River runs 51 miles through LA. Bordered and contained by concrete channels, the river sits underutilized and full of potential. By installing temporary spatial experiences along the river bank, the lost space becomes a hub for recreation, exploration, and play. Built out of reclaimed railroad ties, and residential wood telephone poles, the stair like form invites visitors to engage with the Los Angeles river in an unexpected way. Organic platforms with green netting, bring a natural essence back to the concrete riverbank. Some images may be cropped. Click on an image to see the full image without cropping.
