I'm a Creative currently studying Graphic Design and Advertising at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, California (Class of 2020, BFA). I'm attracted to many aesthetics of visual culture, so my work tends to be a versatile blend of various forms, styles, mediums, and concepts. I am adept with the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro. I have strong passion and skill for image and text composition, entertainment-focused design, print, and publication design. I always try to maintain a keen eye for art direction, while looking forward to being a part of the future of design and design thinking.

I designed, curated, edited, and printed a magazine series entitled: lit. It is a lifestyle magazine geared toward progressive millennials of color and I chose a vibrant, multifaceted design, and color palette that is evocative of the culture to which it speaks. I designed, curated, and edited, a book entitled: ABCs for XYZs. It is a book designed to provide a tool for inter-generational dialogue. The social justice landscape of America has changed in recent years. I made this book in order to define the terms that multiple generations need to be made aware of, while illustrating, through visual metaphor and historical reference, examples of the terms.

For my Senior Project I created a concept project that establishes a physical archive of a family’s lineage, heritage, and culture. I am exploring the theme of Identity, using my own family as a model. I present possibilities of what can be done to archive a family history, and the beginnings of a visual identity system catered to a very specific group. This is the cover of the 12x12" hardcover book, featuring my original sculpture.

I created a textile fabric print to accompany the Mahoney book. It features patterns made from the symbols and text created as part of the identity system. It is to be used as a tapestry hung or laid for family rituals and special occasions.
