Sarah Haufrect was born and raised in Los Angeles. Her writing has been featured in Salon, Psychology Today, the Berkeley Poetry Review and Documentary Magazine, among others. She holds a degree in English from UC Berkeley where she was the managing editor of the Berkeley Fiction Review and is a former managing editor of Pasadena Magazine. She has spent the past ten years working for a private philanthropist, for whom she currently serves as a Vice President of Programs and as Director of Communications.
