The 2019 altar, Migration Tales

The Otis Community and the public are invited to join the students of Heather Joseph-Witham's class, Modern Mysticism and Afterlife, in celebrating Dia de los Muertos at the Hollywood Cemetary.

On October 30th, from 9:00 a.m. to midnight, students will be presenting an interactive altar at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery's annual Dia de los Muertos festival. Please join us at our Save the Bees altar. How to find us at this rather large event? Look for the Otis obelisk, which we will be in front of with a gigantic honeycomb, among other things. The students have created a beautiful ephemeral artwork this year. One reason it is so cool is because the wonderful Andrew Armstrong is our mentor!

For tickets ($40 for general admission), go to ladayofthedead.com. If you have questions, contact Heather Joseph-Witham at hwitham@otis.edu

We hope to see you there!!!
