Maggie Nelson poster

Otis College of Art and Design’s Fine Art Department is pleased to present a public lecture by Maggie Nelson. Nelson will be addressing some recent trends in the art world having to do with questions of care, obligation, and freedom, as well as revisiting Langston Hughes's famous comment that: “An artist must be free to choose what he does, certainly, but he must also never be afraid to do what he must choose." Maggie Nelson is the author of nine books of poetry and prose, many of which have become cult classics defying categorization.
