About Kush Parekh, PLA, ASLA
Biography by studio-mla.com:
"Kush Parekh is a landscape architect at Studio-MLA with over 15 years of experience in design and strategic planning. He was drawn to landscape architecture by his passion for cities and the challenging relationships between urban ecological systems and socio-cultural factors that exist within them. With a holistic understanding of the built environment, Kush strives to apply the highest level of design and sustainable principles while exploring creative use of materials and building techniques. He received his BS in Landscape Architecture with a minor in City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University, where he has also served on the Academic Advisory Board for the Knowlton School of Architecture.
Kush recently led the design for the Hollywood Park District, a 298-acre, multi-phased project to reimagine, design, and build Sofi Stadium, YouTube Theater, a retail district, parks, and streetscapes on the site of the old Hollywood Park race track. He has devoted nearly a decade to this high-profile urban infill project, an endeavor of immense scale and complexity that is rare in a large metropolitan city such as Los Angeles."
