This workshop empowers artists with the tools and knowledge to create their own NFTs in a marketplace. Participants will engage in a cursory discussion on what NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens) are and learn terminology and other aspects surrounding NFTs (e.g. crypto assets, public ledger, blockchain, wallets, gas fees). Participants will leave the workshop with a functional NFT and the ability to create and upload to a marketplace account to support a variety of digital artforms for a crypto asset marketplace. While the workshop will teach the process using the Rarible marketplace, students will learn how to make an NFT without the cost of gas fees as well as available alternative options.
Participants should bring completed digitized artwork that they would like to use to create an NFT.
