Vision for the 100% Video Series

The focus of the campaign is how creatives persevere and give it their “all” in pursuit of their creative callings. The campaign is about committing 100%. It is a platform for celebrating the passion of the creative. The tagline: Find your 100.

The theme of the videos should embody the idea of daring to find one’s 100% commitment. Just as Otis has found its 100 (100 years of history, 100 years of struggle, 100 years of educating and supporting artists and designers), the video spots should testify to the importance of commitment coupled with creativity and explore and support how creatives persevere and give it their “all.”

We want to inspire creative professionals around the country to show us their 100.

The videos should appeal to creatives of a wide range of ages, races, and backgrounds in the midst of struggle, determination, and daily life. It should be passionate, powerful, short but impactful. The goal is to elevate a powerful message, and the video medium can be anything from animation to typography to musical or live action. The videos will be created by the greater Otis creative community of students, alumni, and current faculty and staff. Otis will heavily promote the video series as a central part of the centennial celebration. The Strategy

Let’s create a campaign that gives every creative something to believe in. Let’s focus on the drive, the passion, the dedication that we all have inside of us. Every high school kid who dreams of a future in the arts. Every student that pours out their heart at Otis College of Art and Design. Every alumnus who’s never had the words to describe what the school did for them. Every working creative who knows the meaning of hard work. They all have a place in this message. It’s about the struggle, the effort, and a focus on excellence. Because at its core, that’s what Otis College of Art and Design is. All the inspiration, effort, encouragement, training, critiquing, and coaching is about one belief: Creativity and commitment can change the world.

The Concept

Let’s validate and fuel that flame inside so many of us. That voice telling you that you have something to say. That drive that keeps you in the studio until 4am. There is no Plan B. There is only your passion. Your drive. Your diligence. Your calling. And that calling doesn’t demand just one thing. It demands everything.

100%

It may sound like a grand statement, but a creative life is also a grand calling. And the best way to truly equip and inspire people is to fan that flame.

Sample Script

Here is a sample of an inspirational script that would support the 100% campaign vision. This script is only for inspiration and your edification.

What if you listened to that still, small voice telling you that you have something to say?

What if you believed that you’re good enough?

That you actually belong?

What if you refused to create a Plan B?

Embraced the risk? Stood up to the fear?

Took stock of all you have within you to offer -

All the grit, the courage, the perspective, the identity –

And committed to channeling it?

What if you accepted the reality that you could create something, and the world could change in response?

How much would you be willing to give?

Find Your 100.
