Pam Hogarth, Conduit, has over 30 years in the world of visual effects, most of which have been in education for digital production doing career guidance, placement, marketing, publicity, and administration. In 2015 she cofounded Eido, a training company that facilitated training for IATSE creative guilds. In 2017 Pam and her partner successfully sold Eido.
Before that, Pam did a stint doing publicity and marketing for VFX house LOOK Effects. As Industry Liaison she helped build Gnomon School of Visual Effects into the premiere school for careers in digital production. She ran Digital Media Institute (DMI) in Hollywood and helped grow the digital program at The American Film Institute (AFI). Teaching includes Art Directors Guild, Otis College of Art and Design, cgsociety.org, Gnomon, DMI and AFI. Pam has served seven terms on the Board of Directors of the Visual Effects Society, Secretary of the LA Section and is Co-Chair of the Education Committee. Pam holds an MEd in Vocational Counseling from Kent State University and a BS from Springfield College in Fine Art and Psychology.
